Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of the community in motivating members to carry out entrepreneurial activities in the Sriwijaya Guppy Lovers community. This research uses descriptive research and data collection techniques are taken using interviews, observation and documentation in the community. Members of the Sriwijaya Guppy Community actively participate in exhibition activities that support more advanced community activities and open businesses by raising Guppy fish and selling them as ornamental fish as well as selecting fish with the best quality to be included in fish exhibitions or contests which will become entrepreneurial opportunities. The Sriwijaya Guppy Lovers Community builds relationships with other communities to learn about new things in improving community activities for business opportunities, such as raising the right fish and trading fish well. The Sriwijaya Guppy Lovers Community needs motivation for activities such as coaching to find out how to have better and bigger business opportunities as well as establishing wider relationships in order to further improve the quality of the community in opening up business opportunities.
