Abstract
Carbon reserves is an important assimilation process, including carbon fixation and carbon estimation especially in rubber plants. The study aimed to calculate how much the rate of biomass and carbon on rubber plantation in burned and non burned conditions. This research was conducted in Timbangan subdistrict of North Indralaya, South Sumatera from September 2017 until November 2017. In burning land, the biomass productivity of undergrowth has a value of 2,71 ton / ha-1 with a carbon value of 1,22 tons / ha-1 for the development of litter biomass of 5,77 tons / ha-1 with a carbon value of 2,63 tons / Ha-1 whereas for the development of biomass and carbon on non burned land, the productivity of biomass of undergrowth has a value of 0,58 ton / ha-1 with a carbon value of 0.25 ton / ha-1 for litter biomass development of 4,89 ton / ha -1 with carbon value 2,20 ton / ha-1. Based on the results of the calculation shows an increase in burned land than in non burned land, this is caused by the condition of the place where the growth can affect the development of biomass which is able to absorb carbon content
