Abstract

This study aims to determine the values of patriotism and nationalism of students through Paskibra extracurricular activities at UPT SMA Negeri 2 Palembang. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study method, the data sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling technique so that the informants in this study amounted to 3 main informants and 1 supporting informant, data collection techniques were carried out through documentation and interviews. Based on data analysis, it is concluded that the patriotism and nationalism values of students who take part in Paskibra extracurricular activities are a high sense of nationalism in using Indonesian, knowledge of the history of independence, active involvement in Paskibra activities, and participation in Indonesian Independence Day celebrations and Paskibra competitions. Learners also demonstrate a self-sacrificing attitude by obeying the coach's instructions, including accepting sanctions and engaging in intense physical training. In addition, the value of faith and teamwork is strongly emphasized, showing awareness of the importance of unity in diversity. The awareness to do the best for the country is reflected in the observance of school rules, participation in social service activities, and being a positive example to fellow learners.
