Abstract

This research aims to determine the extent to which children aged (5-6) years old have achieved social emotional development at Tunas Harapan 1 Kindergarten, Suka Mulya Village, Ogan Komering Regency. The type of research used was quantitative descriptive with the same population and sample, namely 16 children aged (5-6) at Tunas Harapan 1 Kindergarten, Suka Mulya Village, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, consisting of 9 boys and 7 girls. The data analysis technique is calculated from the percentage level of achievement of social emotional development that is in accordance with the observation results (checklist). The results of the research show that the level of achievement of social emotional development of children aged (5-6) years at Tunas Harapan 1 Kindergarten, Suka Mulya Village, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency obtained an overall mean score of 68.85% which is included in the Developing According to Expectations (BSH) category. It can be seen from the self-awareness indicator that it obtained a mean value of 71.87% in the Developing According to Expectations category. Then the indicator of a sense of responsibility for oneself and others obtained a mean value of 62.18% which was categorized as Developing According to Expectations. Then, the mean value obtained from the prosocial behavior indicator was 72.5%, included in the Developing According to Expectations category. The level of achievement of social emotional development for children aged (5-6) years at Tunas Harapan 1 Kindergarten, Suka Mulya Village, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, for indicators of prosocial behavior received the highest score. Then the self-awareness indicator gets a medium value. The last one with the lowest score is the indicator of a sense of responsibility for oneself and others.
