Abstract

Renewable energy power plants are technologies that can overcome the problem of energy crises in every country such as solar power plants that can be used if the PLN supply is cut off. The need for an Automatic Transfer Switch circuit to detect and divert resources from PLN to other resources and the need for a Time Delay to keep components from being damaged if sometimes PLN has a momentary blackout. Research that has been carried out making a prototype of a Hybrid PLTS system with an Automatic Transfer Switch circuit added Time Delay which has 3 variations, namely 0.3 seconds, 0.6 seconds and 0.9 seconds which has produced the highest average value of electric current and output power at a time lag of 0.3 seconds of 0.096 A and 1.7608 W in the inverter and 0.0078 A and 18.012 W at the load, For the average value of electric current and the smallest power is at a time lag of 0.9 seconds. This is because when the time lag is 0.3 seconds, there is a large initial current surge caused by a backup power source that has not been fully stabilized so that the power generated is also large.
