Abstract

The research was aimed to design campus bus station landscape that fimction as carbon sequestion park. The research was conducted at bus station in the The research was can Sriwijaya University campus, Indralaya, Ogan Ilir regency. conducted from November 2013 to March 2014. Method used in the research was observation and survey. Primary data consisted of academic community perception and Information regarding the actual conditions and expecting ambient around the bus station and the types and condition of existing vegetations. Secondary data uncluded of temperature and rain fail taken from related instances and study from various literature about garden. Ambient CO measurements were taken at 12.30 to 14.30 was carbon recorded i.e. 14 ppm. However, the recorded data was still for beyond the minimum limit, according to decision of environmental living ministry No. 12 year 2010, so plant election is not only using carbon absorbtive capacity aspect but also the aesthetic element. Respondent would like to enrich with various ornamental plants and to maintain the existing plants. Border type plants were predominantly applied as the planty area was very limited.
