Abstract

This research is entitled Experimental Study Of The Effect Of Light Intensity On The Growth Of Red Chili Plant Height (Capsicum Annum L.) With Arduino As A Microcontroller. This study was conducted to measure and analyze the effect of temperature, humidity, and light intensity on the growth of red chili plants using white, blue and grow light LED as a light source. Measurements were taken every day at 08:00, 12:00, 16:00, and 20:00 WIB for 70 days. The results showed that the best growth occurred in box 7, where the red chili plants used LED grow light with a fixed distance of 36 cm from the lamp to the plant. The ideal temperature found ranged from 27°C to 30°C, humidity between 80% RH to 86% RH, and LED grow light intensity ranging from 3000 to 4000 lux. By maintaining a fixed distance between the lamp and the plant, the height growth of red chili plants reached 66.9 cm. This research shows that the combination of stable light intensity, temperature, and optimal humidity has a significant effect on the growth of red chili plants.
