Abstract
This study aims to prove the effect of the discovery learning model on student learning motivation in economic subjects in class X MA Darussalam Bumi Agung. This research method is an experiment with a Quasi Experimental Design research design with The Nonequivalent Posttest-Only Control Group Design approach. The population is all grade X students at MA Darussalam Bumi Agung, totaling 5 class. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique so that the sample obtained X.4 class students as the experimental class and X.5 class students as the control class. For data collection, the research was carried out using questionnaire instruments, observations and interviews. The data analysis technique used is the correlation test, the coefficient of determination test and the t-test with the prerequisite tests of normality, homogeneity and linearity of simple regression. The results of the t-test show that the tcount ≥ ttable value is 6.93 ≥ 1.69, which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted so it can be concluded that there is an effect of the discovery learning model on student learning motivation in economic subjects in class X MA Darussalam Bumi Agung. Based on this research, students are expected to increase their learning motivation by using the discovery learning model. Keywords: Discovery Learning, Learning Motivation
