Abstract

This research aims to prove the influence of lifestyle on consumer behavior of students in the 2021 Economic Education Study Program at Sriwijaya University. This research is quantitative in type using associative methods. The research population was all students of the 2021 Economic Education Study Program at Sriwijaya University, totaling 78 students. Sampling used a saturated sampling technique where the entire population was used as a sample of 78 students. Data collection techniques use questionnaires, interviews and observations. Test the validity of the instrument using the Product Moment formula and reliability using Cronbach's Alpha. Data analysis techniques in this research include prerequisite testing and hypothesis testing. Research prerequisite tests consist of a normality test and a linearity test. The research hypothesis test consists of the Pearson product moment correlation test, coefficient of determination, and t-test. The results of the research show that the lifestyle data obtained is categorized as quite good with an average percentage of 75.16% and consumer behavior is categorized as quite good with a percentage of 74.50%. Data analysis using the t-test shows that t_(hitung )> t_tabel or 9.15 > 1.99, so Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. It can be concluded that there is an influence between lifestyle and consumer behavior in students of the 2021 Economic Education Study Program at Sriwijaya University .
