Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of employee performance in the Sub-Division of Leadership Communication in preparing coordination and information for events in the Government of Ogan Ilir Regency. This research is motivated by the inconsistent or inadequate job satisfaction among employees. The focus of this study uses the theory of Performance Effectiveness according to Richard M. Steers (2016:241), which includes elements of adaptability, job performance, and job satisfaction. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques. The results of this study reveal a weakness in the intensity of employee satisfaction and emotional aspects concerning job satisfaction, which affects employee performance in terms of job satisfaction. To enhance the effectiveness of employee performance, training should be conducted to improve employee skills, thus enabling them to perform their tasks more effectively and optimally.
