Abstract

This research is titled "Performance Analysis of fire and disaster agency of Palembang city in implementing fire disaster prevention in Palembang city" The background of this title selection is because seeing the high potential of fire disas1ers that occur every year in the Palembang city and infrastructure such as the fire station are .still cannot cover all sub districts in Palembang City. The type of research in this thesis is descriptive, which is using qualitative research methods. The type of data used is primary data and secondary data, while the data collection technique used is in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. This research is using performance theory from Mahmudi which has four benchmarks, such as input, output, outcome and impact. The results show that Performance of fire and disaster agency of Palembang city is good enough in carrying out all components of fire prevention activitie.1 in the Palembang City. However, of the four dimensions as indicators of the author in analyzing the performance of fire and disaster agency of Palembang city there was two indicators of the of fire and disaster agency of Palembang city that have not gone well. namely the resource indicator involved in .fire disaster prevention activities and budget realization in fire disaster prevention activities. in the Resource lndica1or. quality of human resources in .fire and disaster agency of Palembang city is still not good enough. then /he facilities and infrastructure which is still inadequate. While on the budge, realization indicators for activities to supervise the implementation of fire prevention policies cannot be disbursed because it is not suffice the predetermined standards. Hope/idly in the .future, the fire and disaster agency of Palembang city should provide education and training to fire fighters in order to improve the ability of officers, and also need for addi1iona/ supporting facilities and infrastructure lo improve agency performance.
