Abstract
This study aimed to determine the effect of the addition and the percentage of organic selenium and vitamin E on the performance the local dueks. Animals used in this study were as many as 48 local duek, which consists of female dueks being produetion. There are 8 groups of treatment is a combination of 4 levels of Se supplementation treatment (0 ppm, 0.2 ppm, 0.4 ppm and 0.6 ppm) and two levels of vitamin E (0 and 50 ppm). One group as a control diet without supplementation is selenium and vitamin E. Each treatment and control consisted of 3 replications. Treatment of data obtained from the experiments were analyzed by using analysis of variance (analyzes of variance / ANOVA) factorial RAL and if the data produced significantly different then followed by Duncan test. Supplementation of organic selenium, vitamin E and their combinations affect the performance tums out the local dueks. Supplementation of selenium and vitamin E in the treatment R3 highest level of 0.2 ppm with 50 ppm selenium and vitamin E, a combination that has the highest number of egg produetion than any treatment that is 1898.50 g / treatment. Results of this study concluded that supplementation of organic selenium and vitamin E for an overalt better performance compared with the control treatment without supplemented selenium and vitamin E.
