Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of banking digitalization, as proxied by ATMs and mobile banking, and bank soundness, as measured by CAR, BOPO, and LDR, on bank profitability for the period 2015-2022. The study utilizes secondary data obtained from the official IDX website and company annual reports. The research utilizes panel data regression with the sample that includes six commercial banks, namely BCA, BRI, BNI, Bukopin, Mandiri, and Mega. The results show that banking digitalization and bank soundness simultaneously have a significant effect on profitability. Partially, ATMs, mobile banking, and BOPO have a significant negative effect on profitability, while CAR has a significant positive effect. LDR does not have a significant effect on bank profitability.
