Abstract
Building Information Modeling (BIM) is one of the innovations in the world of construction that can assist in digital and integrated data processing, the application of BIM in the world of construction is a change that is expected to shorten construction time, control costs, improve cooperation between parties involved, and increase efficiency so as to maximise the productivity of the entire project. The modelling process carried out using BIM can transform 2D information into 3D. There are several levels of operation within BIM, one of which is BIM 5D. BIM 5D serves to calculate the quantity take off value and track the cost budget value of a development project. One example of BIM 5D is Cubicost TAS and TRB software which functions to calculate the volume of work, and create 3D building modelling. The purpose of this research is to find the difference value of work volume comparison and RAB calculation of structural work on the Sriwijaya University Doctoral building construction project. This research conducted using 3D modelling by using Cubicost TAS and TRB software, followed by calculating to find the value of structural work volume. The results from Cubicost TAS and TRB software are then processed to obtain the value of the Budget Plan (cost estimate) and compared with the conventional calculation of the volume of work and cost estimate. Based on the research that has been done, the comparison of the volume and cost estimate on the use of Cubicost software with conventional calculations on concrete casting work is 13.18% for foundation work, 4.64% for sloof work, 10.24% for beam work, and 0.25% for column work. Comparison of volume and cost estimate on the use of cubicost software with conventional calculations on concreting work of -16.75% for foundation work, 12.01% for sloof work, -0.99% for beam work, and -19.66% for column work. Comparison of volume and RAB on the use of cubicost software with conventional calculations on formwork installation work is 45.63% for foundation work, 4.63% for sloof work, 24.47% for beam work, and 67.01% for column work.
