Abstract

LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE IS CONCRETE WITH A LIGHTER SPECIFIC GRAVITY WHEN COMPARED TO NORMAL CONCRETE. THE SPECIFIC GRAVITY OF LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE RANGES FROM 1140-1840 KG/M3. MAKING LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE CAN BE DONE BY ADDING ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS SUCH AS FOAM AGENTS AND REPLACING CEMENT PARTLY WITH GLASS POWDER MATERIAL. THE COMPOSITION USED IN THIS STUDY IS 20% AND 30% GLASS POWDER, 1: 40 FOR FOAM AGENT AND WATER, AND THE RATIO OF FOAM AND SLURRY 0.35: 0.65 AND 0.30: 0.70. IN THIS STUDY, FRESH CONCRETE TESTING WAS CARRIED OUT CONSISTING OF SETTING TIME AND SLUMP FLOW TEST, AS WELL AS HARD CONCRETE TESTING IN THE FORM OF SPECIFIC GRAVITY, COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH AND SORPTIVITY. BASED ON THE TEST, IT WAS FOUND THAT THE MAXIMUM SORPTIVITY VALUE OCCURRED IN THE VARIATION OF FOAM TO SLURRY OF 0.35: 0.65 AT 0.0021 MM/S¹². THE MINIMUM SORPTIVITY RESULT OCCURS IN THE VARIATION OF FOAM TO CEMENT PASTE OF 0.30: 0.70 AT 0.0020 MM/S2. SORPTIVITY RESULTS ARE INVERSELY PROPORTIONAL TO SPECIFIC GRAVITY, WHERE IN THE TEST SPECIMENS OF THE VARIATION OF FOAM TO SLURRY 0.35: 0.65 OBTAINED AN AVERAGE SPECIFIC GRAVITY OF 1518.3 AND 1542.1 KG/M3. SORPTIVITY HAS A DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH SETTING TIME, SLUMP FLOW TEST AND COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH. THIS TEST IS FOCUSED ON TESTING THE SORPTIVITY OF LIGHTWEIGHT CONCRETE USING A MIXTURE OF GLASS POWDER WITH A VOLUME RATIO OF FOAM AND SLURRY
