Abstract

Latar belakang: Resin komposit packable konvensional memiliki kandungan filler yang tinggi dengan kekuatan fleksural yang tinggi. Namun, resin komposit packable memiliki viskositas yang tinggi sehingga sulit mengisi kavitas yang kecil. Highly filled flowable composite merupakan generasi baru dari resin komposit flowable dengan kandungan filler yang lebih tinggi sehingga tidak hanya digunakan untuk cavity liner, tetapi juga restorasi yang lebih besar. Tujuan: Mengetahui perbandingan kekuatan fleksural resin komposit packable konvensional dengan highly filled flowable composite. Metode: Sampel terdiri atas dua kelompok, yaitu resin komposit packable konvensional dan highly filled flowable composite. Masing-masing kelompok terdiri atas enam sampel yang dicetak dengan cetakan berukuran 25 x 2 x 2 mm. Kemudian, kekuatan fleksural sampel diuji menggunakan Universal Testing Machine. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji statistik t-test independent. Hasil: Nilai rata-rata kekuatan fleksural resin komposit packable konvensional adalah 104,44 MPa dan highly filled flowable composite adalah 98,88 MPa. Analisis data diperoleh menggunakan t-test independent (p>0,05) menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok. Kesimpulan: Kekuatan fleksural resin komposit packable konvensional tidak berbeda secara signifikan dengan highly filled flowable composite.
