Abstract

Communication messages relate to the process or way of conveying messages. This means that there is a connection between the message or communication content and other elements, such as communication channels and media. Propaganda is a deliberate and systematic effort to shape perceptions, manipulate thoughts, and direct behavior to get the reaction that the propagandist expects. Propaganda sometimes conveys negative information, but it is not uncommon for propaganda to also convey positive information. This research aims to see and measure the content of political propaganda messages via Facebook social media in the Ogan Ilir regional elections. Data was obtained from documentation and literature studies using qualitative methods. The results of the research concluded in the Propaganda Message Content Analysis research (Content Analysis of Propaganda Messages in the 2020 Ogan Ilir Regency Simultaneous Regional Elections) via social media Facebook @halooganilir in the 2020 Ogan Ilir Regency Simultaneous Regional Elections, there were 171 messages which 100% contained propaganda messages.
