Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh yang signifikan dari penerapan model pembelajaran discovery terhadap keaktifan belajar peserta didik di SMPN 29 Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh peserta didik SMPN 29 Palembang dengan jumlah 998 peserta didik. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII. 3 dan VIII.5, dimana kelas VIII.3 menjadi kelas kontrol dan kelas VIII.5 menjadi kelas eksperimen yang berjumlah 68 peserta didik. Dalam penelitian ini sampel yang diambil menggunakan teknik non probability jenis purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yakni observasi, tes, angket dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan yang dapat disimpulkan terdapat pengaruh signifikan dari penerapan model pembelajaran discovery terhadap keaktifan belajar peserta didik SMPN 29 Palembang. Hal ini terbukti dari hasil uji hipotesis menggunakan uji independet sample t-test dengan bantuan SPSS 29, maka didapatkan nilai signifikan sebesar 0,00 dengan nilai (a) sebesar 0,05. Dengan demikian hasil yang diperoleh adalah sig 0,00˂0,05 maka keputusan yang diambil adalah Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima.
