Abstract

Bullying not only impacts the perpetrators and victims, but also the students who witness the bullying incident. This research aims to determine the perception of the impact of bullying on students at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang. This research uses a quantitative descriptive research type with a questionnaire. The sample in this study amounted to 92 respondents consisting of 48 respondents for class X and 44 respondents for class XI using a stratified random sampling technique based on class. The research instrument uses the Guttman scale. The results of the research show that the impact of bullying on students as perpetrators is, namely, decreased academic achievement, anti-social behavior, having criminal thoughts, emotional disorders, and the most severe thing is that perpetrators who carry out bullying will be given sanctions by being expelled from school and being placed in the high category. with a total percentage of 80%. The impact for students as victims of bullying, namely decreased self- confidence, decreased academic achievement, anti-social behavior, trust issues, having thoughts of revenge, and being disturbed by health problems so that they fall into the moderate category with a total percentage of 40%. And finally, the impact for those who witness bullying, namely being indifferent because they don't want to get involved, helping their friends in bullying incidents, feeling shocked, considering this to be normal, joining in so they are in the medium category with a total presentation of 54%.
