Abstract

Elementary School is the most basic level in formal education in Indonesia after Kindergarten (TK) education. In the world of education, the role between parents of students and the school / teacher must be well established. The use of IT media or information technology and appropriate communication can help in the process of establishing good communication. By utilizing IT media, an information and communication system was designed in the Elementary School between the school and parents of students on an Android-based mobile application. In developing this system applying development methods that refer to the RAD (Rapid Application Development) method as a reference during system development by implementing some tools such as framework using Ionic and Codeigniter, system editor using Netbeans IDE and Visual Studio Code, system design analysis with using the kipling method (5W + 1H) and SOAR analysis and also UML 2.0 diagrams at the design stage. The final stage of this design is the testing phase using the black box testing method and the questionnaire using google form. The results show that the functions and features of the system are running smoothly, have a userfriendly display and applications can be downloaded on the Google Play store so the application can be used and useful for elementary school’s parties and parents.
