Abstract

Performance is the result of the implementation of work by employees, both in physical, material and non-material aspects. Health Center must place someone according to their competence and expertise because this can be a factor that will influence the resulting performance. However, during field observations at the Plaju Health Center there was a mismatch between educational background and employee placement. The aim of this research is to analyze factors related to employee performance at the Plaju Health Center. This type of research uses a quantitative cross sectional design approach. The research sample consisted of 44 respondents, employees of the Plaju Health Center, using a purposive sampling technique. The data analysis used is univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with the Chi Square test. The research results showed that the frequency of employees having low performance was 61.4%. Bivariate analysis shows that the variables related to employee performance are work placement (p value 0.031) and work motivation (p value 0.019). Stratification analysis shows that the variables of length of service, marital status and employment status are confounding variables for the relationship between job placement and employee performance. The conclusion is that there is a significant relationship between work placement and work motivation on the performance of Plaju Health Center employees. Apart from that, the variables length of service, marital status and employment status are confounding variables for the relationship between job placement and employee performance. Suggestions for health centers, evaluate future human resource needs for certain positions in order to help prepare an optimal workforce based on competency.
