Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the physical condition test results of women's indoor volleyball athletes at Puslatda South Sumatra in preparation for PON XXI Aceh-North Sumatra 2024. Using a descriptive quantitative analysis approach, the study use two physical condition tests measuring agility (shuttle run), flexibility (sit and reach), strength (push-ups, sit-ups), power (medicine ball, vertical jump), and endurance (vo2max, bleep test). The research sample included all 10 women's indoor volleyball athletes at Puslatda South Sumatra, with test data obtained from KONI South Sumatra. Results showed no significant improvement between the first and second tests, both falling into the not enough category. Specific changes included: a 3,3% decrease in agility (moderate), unchanged flexibility (very less), a 103% increase in push-ups though still very less, a 10% increase in sit-ups (less), an 8% increase in medicine ball explosive power (very good), a 6% decrease in vertical jump (very less), and a 12% increase in endurance/vo2max (very less). The study concludes that the physical condition test results of Puslatda South Sumatra's women's indoor volleyball athletes are inadequate for competition in PON XXI Aceh-North Sumatra 2024.
