Abstract
This study aims to determine the anti-ant and anti-bacterial durability of basil leaf powder solution and chitosan during storage. This research was carried out by laboratory experiments using 5 levels of treatment and 3 repetitions, namely F0: Salted Fish made with 25% Salt as Control; F1: Basil and chitosan insecticides day 0; F2: Basil and chitosan insecticides day 10; F3 Basil and chitosan insecticides day 20; F4: Basil and chitosan insecticides day 30. In this study, the number of ants was counted, color analysis, Total Plate Count (TPC) test and identification of coliform bacteria were carried out. The results of this study showed that the basil and chitosan insecticide solution provided effective results on the number of ants that landed in the range of 9-33 ants. The frequency of the highest number of ants in salted fish without treatment (control) and the lowest number of ants in salted fish sprayed with insecticide on day 0. The results of the color test, the longer the storage of the insecticides chitosan and basil, the darker the color of the salted fish will be, judging from the decreasing lightness value with the range of 55.43-28-43. The identification of putrefactive bacteria ranged from 3.21 CFU/mL logs – 3.64 CFU/mL logs. Salted fish sprayed with insecticides on the 0th, 10th and 20th days experienced a decrease in the number of microbial contamination by 13%. The identification of coliform bacteria in F0 without treatment (control) did not meet the Standard Plate Count (SPC) and no coliform bacteria were found in salted fish sprayed with insecticides from day 0 to day 30. Kajian Efektivitas Produk Anti Semut Dan Anti Bakteri Dari Larutan Kitosan dan Kemangi Selama Penyimpanan (Pembimbing RINTO). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya tahan anti semut dan anti bakteri dari larutan serbuk daun kemangi dan kitosan selama penyimpanan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan eksperimental laboratorium dengan menggunakan 5 taraf perlakuan dan 3 kali pengulangan yaitu F0: Ikan Asin yang dibuat dengan Garam 25 % sebagai Kontrol; F1: Insektisida kemangi dan kitosan hari ke-0; F2: Insektisida kemangi dan kitosan hari ke-10; F3 Insektisida kemangi dan kitosan hari ke-20; F4: Insektisida kemangi dan kitosan hari ke-30. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan penghitungan jumlah semut, analisi warna, uji Total Plate Count (TPC) dan identifikasi bakteri coliform. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa larutan insektisida kemangi dan kitosan memberikan hasil yang efektif terhadap jumlah semut yang hinggap berkisar 9-33 semut. Frekuensi jumlah semut tertinggi pada ikan asin tanpa perlakuan (kontrol) dan jumlah semut terendah pada ikan asin yang disemprot insektisida hari ke-0. Hasil pengujian warna, semakin lama penyimpanan insektisida kitosan dan kemangi maka menghasilkan warna ikan asin semakin akan gelap, dilihat dari nilai lightness yang semakin menurun dengan rentang 55.43-28-43. Identifikasi bakteri pembusuk berkisar antara 3,21 log CFU/mL – 3,64 log CFU/mL. Ikan asin disemprot dengan insektisida hari ke-0, hari ke-10 dan hari ke-20 mengalami penurunan terhadap jumlah cemaran mikroba yaitu sebesar 13%. Identifikasi bakteri coliform pada F0 tanpa perlakuan (kontrol) tidak memenuhi Standart Plate Count (SPC) dan tidak ditemukan bakteri coliform pada ikan asin disemprot dengan insektisida hari ke-0 sampai hari ke-30.
