Abstract

The rapid development of the times has many impacts, one of which is the consumption patterns of society. Those who are vulnerable to the impact are teenagers, students belong to the late teenage group. Consumptive behavior is an activity of using or buying goods and services without careful consideration. Factors of consumptive behavior are prestige, trends and friend groups. Group friends become a strong influence on students to conform or adjust to be accepted. The study used 79 students as samples with random sampling technique. Based on the acquisition of data analysis test results using the Spearman's correlation test formula, a significance level of 0.124> from 0.05 is obtained, which means that there is no relationship or correlation. While rcount 0.174 < 0.211) can be interpreted that between the two variables have no relationship. Keywords: Conformity, Consumptive Behavior
