Abstract

This study aims to develop a physical chemistry practicum MFI on the material of determining the molecular radius with the green chemistry-based viscosity method. In developing this MFI using the 4S-TMD (Four Steps Teaching Material Development) development method, namely the selection, structuring, characterisation, and didactic reduction stages. The results of this research data were validated by experts using the V'Aiken formula. Based on the results of the material experts, pedagogical experts, and design experts obtained an average value of 1 including the high category. Furthermore, the practicality test of the MFI product obtained a percentage of 89.9% in the very practical category. In the effectiveness test, the MFI obtained an average percentage of 84% in the high category. So, it can be concluded that the MFI material for determining the molecular radius with the green chemistry-based viscosity method is valid, practical, and effective.
