Abstract

Career development and training play a crucial role in improving employee performance as they serve as motivation for employees to prepare themselves to seize career opportunities through performance and efficiency. This study aims to analyze the effect of career development and training on employee performance at Bank Sumsel Babel, Kapten Arivai Branch, Palembang. This research is quantitative in nature. The sample consists of all Tellers and Customer Service staff at Bank Sumsel Babel, Kapten Arivai Branch, Palembang, totaling 45 individuals, selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data collection was conducted through the distribution of questionnaires. The research instruments were tested using validity and reliability tests. The results of the study demonstrate a positive and significant effect of Career Development (X) on Employee Performance (Y) at Bank Sumsel Babel. Thus, it can be concluded that the success of employee performance is influenced by several factors, including career development.
