Abstract

Kota Palembang memiliki banyak pusat perbelanjaan. Namun, pusat perbelanjaan yang ada saat ini tidak tersebar dengan merata. Beberapa orang harus menempuh jarak yang jauh untuk dapat mengunjungi pusat perbelanjaan. Oleh karena itu, peluang untuk membangun pusat perbelanjaan di kota Palembang saat ini cukup besar dengan memperhatikan lokasi pembangunannya. Pusat perbelanjaan sendiri dapat diartikan sebagai tempat komersil yang dirancang dan direncanakan, yang mana di dalamnya terdapat retail dan fasilitas-fasilitas disewakan untuk mewadahi aktivitas perbelanjaan dan hiburan bagi masyarakat. Pusat perbelanjaan ini akan dirancang dengan memunculkan ide terkini yang masih jarang diterapkan pada pusat perbelanjaan di kota Palembang, yakni dengan pendekatan green architecture. Konsep green architecture merupakan konsep yang memperhatikan pada kondisi global kedepannya, yang mana desain yang dibuat mengacu pada konteks ramah lingkungan dan berkelanjutan. Dengan pendekatan ini, pusat perbelanjaan yang di desain akan memperhatikan keberadaannya terhadap lingkungan. Manfaat yang didapatkan dengan diterapkannya pendekatan ini adalah menghemat energi. Dengan adanya pusat perbelanjaan dengan konsep green architecture ini diharapkan akan menjadi pendorong bagi bangunan lain yang ada di kota Palembang agar lebih mengarah pada keberlanjutan. Palembang city has many shopping centers. However, the existing shopping centers are not evenly distributed. Some people have to travel long distances to be able to visit shopping centers. Therefore, the opportunity to build a shopping center in the city of Palembang is currently quite large, taking into account the construction location. A shopping center itself can be defined as a commercial place that is designed and planned, in which there is retail and rental facilities to accommodate shopping and entertainment activities for the community. This shopping center will be designed by bringing up the latest ideas that are still rarely applied in shopping centers in the city of Palembang, namely the green architecture approach. The green architecture concept is a concept that pays attention to future global conditions, where the design created refers to an environmentally friendly and sustainable context. With this approach, the shopping center that is designed will pay attention to its presence in the environment. The benefit obtained by implementing this approach is saving energy. With the existence of a shopping center with a green architecture concept, it is hoped that it will be an incentive for other buildings in the city of Palembang to be more sustainable.
