Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of monetary policy, international funding for clean energy, and the development of financial technology (fintech) on the Sustainable Development Index (SDI) in emerging market countries. The independent variables used include money supply, benchmark interest rates, fintech lending, and fintech payments, while the dependent variable is SDI. Secondary data was collected from international institutions such as the World Bank, IMF, and Sustainable Development Index for the period 2017-2021. Data analysis uses panel data regression models with the best model selection through Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange Multiplier tests. The results show that the benchmark interest rate has a significant effect on SDI, while the money supply shows an insignificant effect. International financing for clean energy contributes significantly to improving the sustainable development index by supporting the transition to renewable energy. In addition, fintech lending has a significant role in promoting financial inclusion and supporting sustainable development, while fintech payment shows a weaker influence on SDI.
