Abstract

The aims of the research was to design the garden as a comfortable place for patients and families in General Hospital of Ogan Ilir Regency. The research methods were observations and surveys to obtain the necessary data. The stages of the research include; 1) Inventory, 2) Analysis, 3) Synthesis, 4) Concepts, 5) Planning and Designing, 6) Consultation and 7) Design study result; was made in 2D and 3D images. Softwares and applications used in the research were Realtime Landscaping Architechture 2014, Google Earth, GPS (Global Positioning System), and Drone. The design used a healing garden theme which can have a good impact for patients, visitors and families. Species of plants used were Rose (Rosa foedita), Lavender (Lavandula afficinalis), Azalea (Clorodendrum thomsoniae), Lantana (Lantana camara), Pucuk merah (Oleina syzgium), Queen Palm (Hyophorbe lagenicaulis), Cana (Canna indica), Banyan (Ficus benjamina), Bungur (Lagerstroemia speciosa), Tanjung (Mimusops elengi) and others. Questionnaire with Likert Scale calculation was to rate the design. The result of questionnaire was show 90.4 % responses agree with the design. Design of the garden General Hospital of Ogan Ilir Regency was divided into 4 zones, namely Zone A (Entrance Zone), Zone B (Parking Zone), Zone C (Public Area Zone) and Zone D (Child Play Zone). The zones were to support the existing activities in General Hospital of Ogan Ilir Regency. The process on making garden of General Hospital of Ogan Ilir Regency includes preparation, construction, tillage, planting the plants and trees, planting of cover crops, and final cleaning with a total budget of Rp 2.704.654.260,00-, and was expected to be completed in 3 months.
