Abstract

This study aims to examine the extent to which the potential and contribution of Swallow Bird Nest Taxes to Regional Original Revenues in Palembang City. The analytical method used is the Potential Formula. The results of this study. The potential for minimum swallow nest tax receipts that can be obtained by the Palembang City Government in 2019 is Rp. 587,115,200 from sales of swiftlet nests of 319.3 tons. While the target for tax revenue for swallow nest in Palembang is set by the Palembang City Regional Tax Management Agency in 2019 but its realization until the end of March 2019 is still without progress, this happened because the Regional Tax Management Agency of the City of Palembang had not received a report from the businessman of the swallow's nest against his tax. The contribution of Swallow Bird Nest Taxes still has not significantly affected the city of Palembang because there are still not many bird nest wallet businesses in the city of Palembang, resulting in the lack of income from the bird's nest tax wallet.
