Abstract

The application of basic moral values is an important basis for State Civil Apparatus to carry out their duties effectively and responsibly. In Indonesia, especially in South Sumatra Province, efforts to strengthen these values are very relevant to improving the quality of public services, State civil servants are expected to be able to become role models in ethics. and morals so that it can build public trust in the government. The aim of this research is to evaluate the implementation of basic moral values in state civil servants within the Regional Secretariat of South Sumatra Province. This research aims to identify the extent of moral values implemented in the daily behavior of state civil servants. The research method used in this research is a qualitative research method. Data collection techniques in the research are by means of interviews, observation and documentation. Research Results on Evaluation of the Implementation of Basic Moral Values in ASN within the Secretariat Organization Bureau South Sumatra Province Region This is quite good but not yet optimal and not optimal in the application of moral values because there are still a lot of ASN who don't really understand so it needs to be improved and there needs to be more training for ASN regarding these moral values.
