Abstract

The development of digital transformation in the construction industry provides contract management innovation in the form of smart contracts, where the adoption of an innovation depends on the user's perspective. This study aims to analyze perspective of smart contract by contractors in Palembang City using quantitative method with questionnaire approach. The research variables were developed using the technology-organization-environment (TOE) method to identify the characteristics of technology, organization, environment, and contractor involvement in the use of smart contracts. The research used probability sampling techniques with a population based on the GAPENSI (Gabungan Pelaksana Konstruksi Nasional Indonesia) association. The results show that most of the contractors in Palembang City agree that the most significant factors of smart contract adopted are trialability, top management supports, and competitive. The results show that most of the contractors in Palembang City agree to be involved on smart contract adoption.
