Abstract

Sari Coffee Indonesia implements environmental responsibility in addressing environmental issues in Indonesia from 2002 to 2024. This research stems from the increasing environmental problems, particularly plastic waste and natural resource exploitation, which require companies to adopt more sustainable policies. As the license holder of Starbucks in Indonesia, PT. Sari Coffee Indonesia is committed to reducing environmental impact through various sustainability programs implemented in its stores. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive approach to understand the phenomenon of corporate environmental responsibility. The data used in this research is sourced from literature studies and Starbucks' sustainability reports. The findings indicate that PT. Sari Coffee Indonesia has implemented several initiatives, such as Greener Nusantara, Bring Your Own Tumbler (BYOT), and the use of Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance-certified raw materials. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that PT. Sari Coffee Indonesia has played a role in managing environmental issues in Indonesia by implementing policies that support sustainability. In addition to reducing environmental impact, these initiatives also indirectly raise customer awareness of the importance of environmental conservation and encourage more environmentally friendly behavior.

Sebagai pemegang lisensi Starbucks di Indonesia, PT. Sari Coffee Indonesia berkomitmen untuk mengurangi dampak lingkungan melalui berbagai program keberlanjutan yang telah diterapkan di gerai-gerainya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif untuk memahami fenomena tanggung jawab lingkungan perusahaan. Data yang digunakan bersumber dari penelitian kepustakaan dan laporan keberlanjutan Starbucks. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PT. Sari Coffee Indonesia telah menerapkan berbagai program, seperti Greener Nusantara, Bring Your Own Tumbler (BYOT), serta penggunaan bahan baku bersertifikasi Fair Trade dan Rainforest Alliance..Dari hasil penelitian ini, bisa disimpulkan bahwa PT. Sari Coffee Indonesia telah berperan dalam pengelolaan isu lingkungan di Indonesia dengan menerapkan berbagai kebijakan yang mendukung keberlanjutan. Selain membantu mengurangi dampak lingkungan, inisiatif ini juga secara tidak langsung meningkatkan kesadaran pelanggan tentang pentingnya menjaga kelestarian lingkungan dan mendukung perubahan perilaku yang lebih ramah lingkungan.
