Abstract

Stunting is a global problem with long-term impacts. Musi Banyuasin Regency implemented the Healthy Moms and Kids (BUNDA AS) program to address it. This study aims to determine changes in the nutritional status of toddlers as well as differences in weight and height before and after supplementary feeding. The method used was quantitative with a quasi-experimental design, one group pretest-posttest model, and analysis using Paired t-test. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique, with a total of 107 toddlers aged 6 to 59 months from underprivileged families. The results showed changes in the nutritional status of toddlers and significant differences in weight and height before and after the intervention, with a p-value <0.0001. The Supplementary Feeding Program is proven to be effective in improving the nutritional status of children under five in Musi Banyuasin Regency by 2023. It is recommended that all parties collaborate to further improve understanding of nutrition and access to health services in handling stunting.
