Abstract
Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya peningkatan keaktifan dan hasil belajar kimia siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 13 Palembang melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem based learning. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan model ini memberikan kontribusi terhadap nilai hasil belajar siswa. Rata-rata keaktifan siswa pada siklus 1 pertemuan sebesar 77,5, pada siklus 2 sebesar 78,92 dan pada siklus 3 sebesar 80,35. Rata-rata nilai hasil belajar kimia siswa masing-masing siklus 1, 2, dan 3 yaitu sebesar 75,67, 78,37, dan 88,64. Persen ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa masing-masing siklus 1, 2, dan 3 yaitu sebesar 67,56 %, 77,97%, dan 86,48%.Terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada mata pelajaran kimia ditunjukan dari T3>T2>T1>T0.
