Abstract

Energy audit is a technique used to calculate the amount of energy consumption in buildings and identify ways for savings. Research conducted at Sriwijaya University rector building Indralaya the source of electrical energy supplied PT. PLN (Persero) with total area of4666.659 m2. This research was conducted with the initial survey on the building, looking for common data of the building (plan, design of buildings, electrical appliances, occupants, etc.). Value Overall Thermal Transfer Value Total (OTTVjotal) is 66.858 W /m2 which is far beyond Standard SNI 03-6389-2011 of 35 W /m2. On cooling load calculations, the total cooling load of the Rector Building 174.539 kW. In the cooling load, the value of the largest cooling load is 120. 039 kW This value is obtainedfirom the cooling load of electrical equipment. While on the outside the cooling load, the largest cooling load value is 14.395 kW, it is derived from the cooling load through walls. The research result shows that electricity consumption in buildings by 46% is used by AC, 37% by the PC and printer, 9% by 8% by the lights and other electrical appliances. Value Energy Consumption Intensity (IKE) every month in 2015 included the category of very wasteful. IKE value was highest in the month of December amounted to 105.48 kWh / m2/ month and the lowest occurred in August amounted to 50.74 kWh /m2 /month. Key words: Energy audit, cooling load, IKE, OTTV
