Abstract

This study is entitled The Effect of Implementing Problem-Based Learning (PBL) Model on Critical Thinking Ability of 10th Grade Students at UPT SAM Negeri 2 Palembang" The formulation of this research is to examine whether there is an effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the critical thinking ability of students in history subjects for 10th grade at UPT SMA Negeri 2 Palembang.. The purpose of study is to determine whether there is an effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model on the critical thinking ability of students in history subjects for 10th grade at UPT SMA Negeri 2 Palembang. This research was conducted from June 20 to July 21, 2025. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a pm-experimental design. The data collection techniques in this study are observation and tests. The analysis prerequisite test techniques used are normality test and hypothesis test. The results of the study show a significant increase in students' critical thinking ability (Vier the implementation of the PBL model, which is reflected in the comparison of pre-test and post-test results. This study is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.
