Abstract

This study aims to determine the factors that caused the low interest of graduates of SMA Negeri 1 Talang Kelapa to continue their education at tertiary institutions. The research method used in this study is quantitative and the population in this study is a graduate of SMA Negeri 1 Talang Kelapa, amounting to 166 people and then the sample chosen amounts to 114 people. The sample in this study was taken using proportioned stratified random sampling technique which was then taken with an error rate of 5%. collection technique used documentation and questionnaires.This can be proven from the analysis of the results of the questionnaire conducted by researchers on the 2 indicators that serve as benchmarks of research obtained an average of percentages. The average percentage is the low level of SMA Negeri 1 Talang Kelapa graduates because it is influenced by several factors including low motivation 84%, desire to work 84%, economic limitations 87%, environment and culture 86%. by the results of this study that the analysis of the factors causing the low interest of graduates of SMA Negeri 1 Talang Kelapa to continue to Higher Education is still low interest of graduates to continue their studies aimed at the results of 62,5≥85,7.
