Abstract

Photovoltaics is a tool to convert solar energy into electricity that is pollution-free and environmentally friendly so it is necessary to do further research in developing new / renewable technologies. The output power produced by solar panels is very dependent on the temperature characteristics and also the intensity of solar radiation. Therefore this research is needed to determine the efficiency of the effect of sunlight radiation and temperature on monocrystalline, polycrystalline, and thin flim photovoltaics. Data recording in this study uses a datalogger that can record data generated every minute. Data recorded by the datalogger are time, temperature, voltage and current. The results of this study are known to the radiation with the same temperature of 678,3 W/m2 dan 51,88 °C monocrystalline solar panels produce a voltage of 24,79 V current 5,57 A, polycrystalline solar panels produce a voltage of 20,21 V current 3,5 A, and thin film solar panels produce a voltage of 16,8 V current of 2,07 A. It is also known that the efficiency of monocrystalline panels is 27,7% the efficiency of polycrystalline panels is 14,99%, the efficiency of thin film panels is 6,36% . From the data obtained and calculated it was concluded that the monocrystalline panel has a better fertility and efficiency.
