Abstract

Islamic boarding school is one of the best education, not only getting formal education but having a quality personality, good virtuous and in line with regulations in religion. see the current school that does not prioritize religious education and the concerns of parents in promiscuity and the lack of adolescents who are able to read the Qur'an well. Learning to get closer to the Qur'an, children can prepare for faith and good morals. Islamic boarding schools are placed in places far from the crowd. in studying the science of religion required a worship devotion. requires calm and a sense of being close to the creator. Learning religion is not related to the creator alone. relationships to the environment and surrounding communities are also needed. build a boarding school that is functioning and as needed, able to support and be a good facility, encourage students and the community in religious education and other activities. As well as creating relationships between pesantren, santri with the surrounding community. without a barrier that limits the boarding school and the surrounding environment. the theme applied was Islamic architecture. In the design there are some traditional and modern principles that are applied, the composition of the mass of a square-shaped building with a linear pattern that is considered with the functions that are in the pesantren, the basic form is adopted from the surrounding buildings. Stage structure system to respond to site conditions on river banks prone to flooding and conservation swamps. the concept of the site applies zoning with the principles of Habluminallah and Habluminannas as well as several elements of the Koran that are combined with the value of life to form a beautiful site. The worship building is oriented to the Ka'bah which centers on the minaret as one of the hallmarks of Islamic architecture and is surrounded by surrounding gardens, the pesantren building facade is designed with a roster on the wall and the selection of natural materials such as wood and natural stone to strengthen the traditional and modern impression.
