Abstract

This research aims to produce interactive multimedia learning media in the form of video compact discs (vcd) on poetry writing learning material in grade VIII smp which are suitable for using. The research method that researchers use by research and development (development and research) using development steps by Borg and Gall have been modified by Sugiyono (2018:408-409), namely (1) potential problems, (2) gathering information, (3) product design, (4) desugn validation, (5) design improvements. The expert validation assessment consists of several aspect namely aspects of the content of the material, linguistic aspects, and aspects of the media carry out by three expert validators namely lecturers of indonesian language and literature education at sriwijaya university. The instrument used the study was questionnaire and validation sheet. Poetry writing learning media was developed based on the acquisition of the analysis result of needs students and teachers. The results of expert validation received a score of 48, language validation obtained a score of 37, and media validation obtained a score of 32. The total score obtained from expert validation was 117. The total score collected was 28 results from expert aspects research to get the average interactive multimedia feasibility results of 4, 17 included in the eligible category. Qualitative data from the validation results get a score of 4 included in both categories (Sugiyono, 2018). The results of this study prove the existence of a percentage value of the total average approved by validation of 83.4% included in the category eligible to be tested.
