Abstract

The impact of advances in communication and information technology can certainly be utilized in various fields including in the field of education. The use of communication and information technology in the field of education certainly aims to create work efficiency of educational institutions or organizations. One example of the application of communication and information technology advancements in the field of education is building academic information systems. In this case, Sriwijaya University has utilized the role of communication and information technology advancement by building an Academic Information System (SIMAK). Academic Information System (SIMAK) is a website-based software system that is used to manage academic administrative data at the University of Sriwijaya Heuristic Evaluation is a method of checking the ease of use (usability) as well as helping to find or identify problems in the interface or user interface of a software. The user interface itself is a good software which must pay attention to the convenience and ease of use (usability) factors so as to produce a good user experience. User experience can be an assessment of the acceptability and usability of a software
