Abstract

This study aims to develop an educational tool for the concept of color in group A children in kindergarten that is tested for its validity and practicality. The development of the educational instrument of the concept of color uses the rowntree development model and formative tessmer evaluation with stages of self evaluation, expert review, one to one evaluation and small group evaluation. Data analysis techniques in this study are walkthrough and observation. The results showed that the material validity was 88% and the media validity was 88%, the average product validity was 88% with a very valid category. The one to one evaluation stage involved three children with 91% results and the small group evaluation stage involved nine children with 92% results, of which both obtained an average of 92% with a very practical category. It can be concluded that the development of educational tools for the concept of color in group A children in kindergarten is declared valid and practical and is suitable for use in the learning of color concepts.
