Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik SMA Swasta di Kecamatan Ilir Timur II Palembang pada materi biologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian survei. Teknik penentuan sampel penelitian menggunakan teknik Simple Random Sampling. Sample penelitian dilakukan di lima sekolah SMA Swasta yang ada di Ilir Timur II. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu teknik tes tertulis dengan soal pilihan ganda sebanyak 15 butir soal, angket respon peserta didik dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik peserta didik pada materi respirasi di SMA Swata Kecamatan Ilir Timur II Palembang memiliki keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi kategori sangat tidak baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil tes soal peserta didik yang dapat menjawab soal hanya pada batas kategori cukup, tidak baik dan sangat tidak baik dari lima kategori yang ada. Berdasarkan indikator angket respon peserta didik terbukti bahwa kemampuan dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal HOTS berada pada urutan paling rendah. Dengan demikian, keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi belum diterapkan di sekolah kepada peserta didik. Kata Kunci: Keterampilan Berpikir Tingkat Tinggi, SMA Swasta, Sistem Respirasi
