Abstract

Media pertukaran pesan dalam bentuk email atau electronic mail telah menjadi salah satu hal terpenting pada era informasi ini. Setiap email memiliki isi pesan yang berbeda-beda dari pesan yang bersifat pribadi hingga pesan yang bersifat komersil. Akan tetapi, seakan berkembangnya layanan dan teknologi, jumlah pesan spam tetap terus bertambah pesat. Masalah ini dapat dikontrol dengan sebuah sistem pendeteksian spam. Sistem pendeteksi spam pada email adalah sistem yang mengelompokkan atau memisahkan pesan dalam email. Dalam penelitian ini, ada beberapa proses yang dilakukan untuk mendeteksi spam yaitu dimulai dari praproses dengan tokenizing dan case folding. Setelah melewati tahapan praproses, kemudian akan dilakukan pelatihan dan pengujian dengan metode Naive Bayes. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur serta membuktikan tingkat akurasi dalam mendeteksi email spam dan non-spam dengan metode Naive Bayes.
