Abstract

Keberadaan kafe di kota Palembang berkembang sangat pesat. Jumlah pengguna smartphone juga sangat banyak. Namun pemanfaatan teknologi dalam memfasilitasi aktivitas sehari-hari dan meningkatkan pendapatan usaha belum dilakukan dengan baik. Hal tersebut terlihat dari belum banyak konsumen yang dapat mengakses informasi warnet dengan mudah dan lengkap. Begitu pula para pemilik warnet yang masih belum banyak melakukan promosi dengan menggunakan teknologi. Seiring dengan bertambahnya jumlah kafe, jumlah kompetitor juga semakin meningkat. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka diperlukan sistem temu kembali informasi warnet yang fleksibel bagi konsumen dan pemilik warnet di kota Palembang dengan menggunakan Location Based Services (LBS). Location-Based Service (LBS) merupakan implementasi dari Sistem Informasi Geografis mobile yang menampilkan posisi geografis dari perangkat mobile sehingga dapat mengidentifikasi lokasi pengguna. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rational Unified Process (RUP) sebagai metode pengembangan sistem. Hasil penelitian ini berupa aplikasi Location Based Service berbasis Android yang akan bermanfaat bagi konsumen dan pemilik Warnet.
