Abstract
PT. Anugrah Pharmindo Lestari is a pharmaceutical company that is engaged in the distribution of medical devices and is spread in various cities, one of which is Palembang. One of the most popular medical devices is syringes. In determining the number of orders, PT. Anugrah Pharmindo Lestari is still based on estimates and experiences that are not based on exact calculations to meet customer demands. In this study a probabilistic model is used with the Continuous Review System (Q) method and the Periodic Review System (P) method. The Q method is a method that can give an idea of a fixed number of orders with an uncertain number of requests. And the method that can provide an overview of the optimal periodic ordering time is the P. method. The results of this study are divided into total costs without the occurrence of shortages (without stockout) and with the occurrence of shortages (with stockout). The minimum total inventory cost is the P method without stockout, which is Rp.1,650,701,672/years. While the P method with stockout produces a total inventory cost of Rp.1,659,764,884/years, the Q method without a stockout of Rp.1,669,347,537/years, and the Q method with a stockout of Rp.1,663,619,808/years.
