Abstract

Creative economy is an effort to improve the economy in a sustainable manner through human creativity so that it can overcome the unemployment rate and support these creative actors to compete in the current era of globalization. The strength of the development of the creative economy generally rests on human resources, because the products produced come from creative human thought. To encourage the creative economy in Indonesia, Palembang City Government has become one of the cities that has supported the development of the creative economy, especially in the culinary, craft, application, and film fields. So we need a place that can accommodate the activities of creative economy practitioners to develop, innovate, learn and promote their creative products comfortably. The establishment of a creative economy center is closely related to the level of creativity of the actors so that their thinking tends to be open and cannot be limited. It has similarities with contemporary architecture where architectural style is not limited by time. The use of contemporary architecture can create a room with a pleasant, flexible, dynamic and expressive atmosphere so as to increase the creativity of creative actors to produce their creative products comfortably.
