Abstract
The image of the retinal fundus is one of the medical image obtained through fundus of ophthalmoscopy photography. Retinal fundus image can be used todiagnose several deseases, however, poor quality and low contrast in retinal fundus image can cause misdiagnosis. In this thesis due to the problem of poor retinal image quality dan low contrast, the process of improving the quality of the retina and contrast enhancement will be carried out. The first step will be done the original retinal image will be change to green channel, and then will be filtered with Gaussian filter and Median filter and the filtered image will be increased in contrast to the Fast Local Laplacing Filtering Color Mode. The result of this method on the shape changesof the retinal structure become clearer and better. From the best PSNR value with highest average PSNR value from the result assessment of the Gaussian filter with PSNR 60.18 dB and the SSIM value is 0.99. the highes average PSNR value is 56.75 dB from Gaussian filter.
