Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat permainan edukatif roda putar untuk mengenal huruf vokal pada anak kelompok A di taman kanak-kanak yang validitas dan praktisnya. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model Rowntree dan evaluasi formatif Tessmer. Tahapan pengembangan Rowntree yaitu analisis kebutuhan, desain produk, dan evaluasi. Tahap evaluasi formatif Tessmer terdiri dari self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, dan small group evaluation. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan walkthrough berupa expert review dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa validitas materi sebesar 94% dan validitas media sebesar 77%, diperoleh rata-rata validitas produk sebesar 86% dengan kategori sangat valid. Tahap one-to-one evaluation melibatkan dua orang anak dengan hasil 88% dan tahap small group evaluation melibatkan 6 orang anak dengan hasil 91% dan dari keduanya diperoleh rata-rata sebesar 90% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Dari semua tahap yang dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa alat permainan edukatif roda putar untuk mengenal huruf vokal pada anak kelompok A di taman kanak-kanak dinyatakan valid dan praktis dan layak digunakan untuk pembelajaran mengenalkan huruf vokal. This study aims to develop a rotating wheel educational game tool to recognize vowels in group A children in kindergarten which is valid and practical. This research is a type of development research using the Rowntree model and Tessmer's formative evaluation. Rowntree development stages are needs analysis, product design, and evaluation. Tessmer's formative evaluation stage consists of self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation. Data collection techniques used a walkthrough in the form of expert reviews and observations. The results showed that the validity of the material was 94% and the validity of the media was 77%, it was obtained that the average validity of the product was 86% with the very valid category. The one-to-one evaluation stage involved two children with 88% results and the small group evaluation stage involved 6 children with 91% results and from both of them, an average of 90% was obtained with the very practical category. From all the stages carried out, it can be concluded that the rotary wheel educational game tool for recognizing vowels in group A children in kindergarten is declared valid and practical and suitable for learning to introduce vowels.
